Testimonials

Testimonial 2017: Lillian Ruiz Romero, MSW

The PPC traineeship was rigorous and challenged me in many ways.  I learned a great deal about working effectively with others and in the wider community.  I also learned about myself and how my personality and values impact the work I do.  My professional skills also improved considerably during my time in the traineeship. Most importantly, I learned what leadership is about and that I am capable of making a meaningful contribution to the field of maternal and child health. - Lillian Ruiz Romero

Testimonial 2017: Skylar Sularz, MSW

My 2016-2017 social work internship/traineeship at the University of Arizona Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC) was the best choice that I could have possibly made for my second year field placement.  This unique program provided me with valuable, hands-on experience in clinical practice, public policy and advocacy, and research.  I had many opportunities to observe and lead social work assessments in various pediatric pulmonary outpatient clinics including cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, sleep, vent, allergy, and neuromuscular.
